All-Natural, Home-made Colloidal Silver Breath Freshener

Easy 3-Step Colloidal Silver Recipe
It actually kills germs and is sugar free!

We’ve used colloidal silver for many years here at Spiritbeing.life. For those of you who don’t know about the benefits of colloidal silver, you can read this article, Colloidal silver benefits, for your information. It also includes my real-life comparison tests on food preservation. Colloidal silver has been used throughout history for many applications. For our household, we mainly use it for water purification and other situations that require killing germs and bacteria.

It’s only recently that I came up with an idea to use silver colloid to reduce or prevent bad breath (halitosis) from occurring. We all know that breath mints or other fresheners may disguise halitosis but don’t actually kill the bacteria that causes it. They are also loaded with sugar or artificial sweeteners, which is not good for your teeth or health.

It is known that colloidal silver kills germs, so it makes a lot of sense to me to use colloidal silver as part of a mouth spray ingredient. So, I tried it out for myself and then for the family, and it turned out a success. My son loved it so much that he kept using up the entire bottle in a day! He loves the peppermint flavour.

It’s very easy to make. All you need is:

  • colloidal silver
  • a purse-sized spray/mist bottle (mine was 10ml)
  • peppermint essential oil*
  • a syringe
  • a measuring spoon (the same measuring capacity of your misting bottle)
  • a bowl

Step 1

Measure out with a measuring spoon the amount of colloidal silver that will fill your misting bottle.

Step 2

Place 4 drops** of essential oil into the colloid.

Step 3

Fill the syringe with the ingredients.

And empty the contents into the bottle…

Step 4

You’re done! Enjoy your all-natural, germ-killing breath freshener.

Notes:

* I used peppermint essential oil for this recipe, but you could experiment with others like lemon or orange oils.

** I added 4 drops of essential oil in ratio of 10ml of colloidal silver. Experiment for yourself and see what works for you. You may prefer a stronger spray – in this case add more drops and for a milder spray, add less.
